Tour Itinerary
Sunday, December 3rd: After boarding from our Fort Wayne, In Lima Rd. location we travel west as we begin our Grand Canyon & Las Vegas adventure. Overnight lodging will be in the St. Louis area. Dining on your own.
Monday, December 4th: Breakfast early, then we continue west into Oklahoma for a visit to the Will Rodgers Memorial Museum. Featuring eleven galleries of memorabilia, theaters and displays, the museum is dedicated to the life of the famed American humorist, one of the country's most multi-talented and historically significant public figures. Lodging will be in Tulsa area along with dinner.
Tuesday, December 5th: After breakfast we travel to the lone star state-- Texas. guided tour of Amarillo is planned upon arrival, then enjoy a fantastic dinner at the Big Texas Steak Ranch. Lodging will be in Amarillo.
Wednesday, December 6th: Breakfast, then it's off to Albuquerque, New Mexico for an admission to the unique Tinkertown Museum. It took one man 40 years to create the whimsical 22-room museum, formed with over 50,000 glass bottles, and inside magical carvings and figures are displayed in miniature scenes from a circus to Star Wars. Lodging will be in New Mexico that evening along with dinner.
Thursday, December 7th: We head into Nevada after breakfast, where we will spend the next three nights at the Hoover Dam Hotel & Casino in Boulder City. After check-in we get to enjoy a buffet dinner and free evening in the casino.
Friday, December 8th: Breakfast at hotel, then we depart on a 2-hour guided tour of Las Vegas. There will be plenty of time to explore the "strip" and visiting the amazing casinos. Dinner is on your own in Las Vegas this evening.
Saturday, December 9th: After an early breakfast, we depart with our guide for a full day of touring. First stop mis the Hoover Dam for a tour of one of mankind's greatest engineering achievements. There will be time to explore the Visitors Center, then continue our tour in Valley of Fire State Park. The centerpiece of the park is brilliant formations of eroded sandstone and sand dunes more than 150 million years old which appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun's rays. we then return to our hotel in the afternoon for a buffet dinner and time in Vegas.
Sunday, December 10th: Breakfast then we depart for Arizona. Stopping in Kingman for visits to the Route 66 Museum, depicting the history of America's road, the Mohave Museum of History & Arts. Lodging in Arizona that evening and dinner awaits our arrival.
Monday, December 11th: Early breakfast starts our day as we head to one of the nation's most famous natural attractions--The Grand Canyon. Our Guide will take us on a 3 1/2-hour tour of the canyon lending insight and details into its formation and history. While there, you experience the canyon as can only be done through the spectacular Imax film, "Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets". Returning to our hotel, you will have time to freshen up before dinner.
Tuesday, December 12th: Breakfast then we head for a ride through Petrified Forest National Park where 200-million-year-old fossils tell the tale of the earth-and its prehistoric inhabitants-amongst the picturesque wonders of Arizona's Painted Desert. Lodging will be in Albuquerque, NM area along with dinner.
Wednesday, December 13th: After breakfast we return to Amarillo, TX for admission to the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum. The museum showcases the colorful history and modern activities of the world's most popular breed of horse and the people who have played a major role in its history. We continue east after our visit to Oklahoma where dinner awaits us.
Thursday, December 14th: After breakfast we head east again toward Missouri where we will stay for the night, Dining on your own.
Friday, December 15th: Following breakfast we continue our journey home with fond memories of our adventures to the Grand Canyon & Las Vegas.
